CARROT CAKE

Dreaming of dessert that’s mighty fine?
Something rich, creamy, lusciously devine?
Not many desserts would I dare refuse,
but, carrot cake, aah, I will always choose.

My lips smack on that delectable treat,
my hips expand  three inches in a week.
That’s why I watch my caloric intake,
to keep my body at a desirable weight.

But my carrot cake should I bake,
I may lie about the true intake.
All that frosting atop that cake--
temptation's too great to alleviate.

Confectioners sugar, cream cheese and butter,
add pecans; now that’s a booger!
Cake layers thinner, more icing to cover,
stacking them high one on another.

I shred my carrots really fine,
stirring and mixing to thoroughly combine;
pour in pan, await oven's chime;
closer now to lip-smacking time!

Teapot & Cup - A Mother and her child are very dependent of each other, just like this teapot and cup design. It can also portray a Mother’s love in protecting her child from being hurt or bullied, always carries extra weight/burden but never once grumble. Does this remind you of Mrs. Potts (teapot) and her son, Chip (teacup) in Beauty and the Beast?

Apron and Glove – Well, our mom stopped looking “good” after we were born because she was too busy taking care of us and the family. We should in fact be like the apron and glove, protect our mother whenever possible from dirt, pain and hurt.

The heart with wording – Is more than just a greeting to our mother. “Happy Mother’s Day” is a reminder to let our mothers know how much we love her, how much she is appreciated and she will always remain as a gem in our hearts.

Two bouquets of carnations - Pink Carnations have been traditionally associated with Mother’s day on which mothers are honored. Among carnations of different colors, there are different meanings associated with them. We chose pink carnations simply because it means always on my mind.
